Tour Itinerary
A confidential 8-hour day visit bundle to explore the north of Mauritius. You will be picked up by the driver from your lodging and taken to the following destinations. You can take a tour at your leisure while the driver is waiting for you.
You will go to the famous Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden in the old village of Pamplemousses. There, you will see 85 different kinds of palm palms from all over the world and enormous waterlilies. In addition, you will learn about the garden’s numerous spices and medicinal plants, as well as endemic and imported plants.
Take a stroll through the magnificent tropical garden of the Château de Labourdonnais, a magnificently restored colonial palace built in 1859. The tour includes a visit to the château, a stroll through the orchard and bird garden, a look at the enormous tortoises, and a wine tasting.
A visit to Port-Louis, the capital of Mauritius, would not be complete without a stop in the north. The city is a mix of old and new. The city’s old market (bazaar), which dates back to 1828 and is where you can bargain for spices and souvenirs while sampling Mauritian street food, is one option. On the other hand, there is the contemporary Caudan Waterfront, where visitors can dine in a variety of restaurants and shop at high-end boutiques. You can gradually explore Port-Louis’s smaller streets, the Jummah Mosque, the Blue Penny Museum, and the Aapravasi Ghat (a UNESCO heritage site). You’ll be driven to the Citadel, where you can take in the breathtaking view of the Champs de Mars race track.
The next stop is a trip to the Chapel Marie Reine De La Paix, which is on the outskirts of Port-louis. The most significant Christian events in Mauritius take place here. From there, you can also take in a panoramic view of Port-louis as a whole.
The tour will come to an end when we go to Grand Baie Sunset Boulevard, where you can shop for a wide range of souvenirs to take home with you.
